Classically Trained
While I was not classically trained in the sense that most understand it, the talented people you will find on this page indeed were. What I learned from these amazing people has been reverberating, pausing, echoing, and syncopating in practically every aspect of my life since. I could not be more grateful.
I was not pursuant to Event Photography. I was invited. As a Fine Art Photographer, it was my first instinct to pass. I am glad I didn’t.

Beautiful concerts are held every summer in the historic Cathedral Basilica – the oldest cathedral in the United States, with interior walls dating to 1797. The acoustics are excellent, as were all the performances and performers. Enjoy a short clip from Jorge Pena with Dr. Scott Watkins on piano.
Maestro; a master in the art, especially a composer, conductor, or music teacher.
Dr. Kenn Gartner
Teaching a teacher
Dr. Gartner’s knowledge of music is encyclopedic, dynamic, old-school, and intuitive. Every shoot, every conversation = smarter me. To prove that it is not possible to be around Dr. Kenn Gartner without learning something – enjoy this lesson to inventor/teacher/super-mom Tara O’Brien Boykin on Sympathetic Vibration.
I found that the space between the notes was the best place for this concert photographer to hide.
Feona Lee Jones - Water for Notes
This collaboration with multi-talented Feona Lee Jones was recorded on Vladimir Horowitz’s Steinway at the Sherman Clay Steinway Center in Walnut Creek, California.
Carnegie Hall/Weill Hall/FSU 2013
A great friend, a little luck, and practice, practice, practice is how this dream came true. Carnegie Hall – Weill Recital Hall, Violin Futura w/Piotr Szewczyk + Piano w/John Callahan and Florida State University.
